How do I phone home???

I feel like ET writing this, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get my HFL to dial my home number by just saying "Call home". Instead, it tries to dial "000" or "#". I see people on this forum changing it from "Call home" to "Call Susie" (or whatever).

Can anyone help me? I can't call home without repeating the whole stuipd number.

Have you added "Home" to your HFL phone book? Check the manual for the HFL to see how to add entries. This is a different "home" than what you put into the Navi's home address field.

Phone Home

I just set up the HFL earlier tonight and ran in to the same issue (By the way, I got my new TL yesterday!)

Anyway, I tried to add "Phone home" to the phonebook four times. The first three times the system told me that it would likely be interpreted as "zero". The fourth time I tried, I annunciated the phrase as "phone-a home-a" and the system accepted it. I then tried placing a call to home 3 times. The first exaggerated pronunciation worked, the second normal pronuncution ended in dialing "0" and the third slightly exaggerated attempt worked.

I am thinking about coming up with a different phrase, though. I'm going to feel pretty silly with a car full of passengers with my fake Italiian accent.

don't say call, say dail. the car usually don't like the word call, dail works better.
