Homelink Button not responding

I have a 2004 Acura TL. The homelink buttons were all working fine for many months after acquiring the vehicle. Suddenly, button #1 is no longer responding.

Button #2 and #3 both control different gates, and when pressed, the LED lights-up and they work just fine. When button #1 is pressed, the LED will not light-up and I can not program any remotes.

I do not know where to begin to resolve this inconvenience. Are there separate fuses for the different buttons? What about replacing the battery, could that have a positive effect?

Thanks in advance for any information/advice available.
