Hey All,

Just bought a new '04 non-navi TL and love it.

However, I am a little confused. Do only the Navi models have the Talk button on the steering wheel as mine does not.

What is supposed to be used to operate the HFL?

On the navi models there are two sets of buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. The upper set is the HFL, the lower set is the voice commands. My neighbor has a non-navi 05 tl, he has the hfl buttons, you should too. They are in the left lower quarter of the wheel.

Wow...the confirms my fear, that I am missing the button. Since I bought the car used, I thought maybe they got ripped of or something but I can see no evidence of damage to the wheel.

Back to where I bought the car I guess...

Good point. Are there any 2004 TL non-navi owners (Canadian version) that can confirm whether they have the Talk button on the steering wheel?

My owner's manual states that if you have the Navi model, the Talk button is right next to the Navi control buttons. However, it does not say anything about the non-navi version specifically.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Didn't realize you where north of the border, don't know about canadian models, I guess that they could be different.
