HFL and NAVI Voice buttons

Hello to everyone,

Yes, once again, I have a question that I was wondering if you could help me with. On a 2004 Acura 5 AT TL with Navi; are the 2 lower HFL and NAVI Voice buttons on the left side of the steering wheel light up at night ?

In oher words: There are 4 buttons on the left side of our steering wheels: 2 for HFL (1 to Answer and 1 to Hang UP) & 2 for the NAVI (1 to Activate the voice command and 1 to go BACK one step).

I would like to know if the HFL HANG UP BUTTON and the NAVI BACK BUTTON are supposed to light up with that greenish glow at night time.

Thanks so much for your help.

I can't seem to find the thread about this discussion, but the answer from the thread was that all 4 buttons SHOULD light up. This is in both 2004s and 2005 TLs. If yours don't all light up, have the dealer check it out.

Now does anyone know if I can just buy the bulb for these buttons or do I have to replace the whole button ?

I ask this because I had a similar problem with the heated seat button on the driver side and decided to just buy the whole button for $9.99 instead of just the bulb for $8.99. In addition to which I removed the button and could not figure out how to remove the top of it in order to expose the bulb.

Another specification is that since my car is American and I live in Canada and I had to declare it VGA during the transfer I have no more warranty.

Thanks again guys.

The defogger button will only light when activated, the directional buttons do not light

someone was trying to rip you off for 8.99 a bulb, the heated seat switch has 3 bulbs total, 1 light up the switch, and 2 are for the indicator for hi and low

also the bulbs come out from the side of the switch, removing the top will only break it. there is a peice of white tape that covers the bulbs, they do this so no light shines into the car from a opening in the plastic

19 (illumination bulb) costs $3.67
20 (indicator bubls) cost $2.99 each
switch which includes the bulbs cost $20.33
