HFL issue revisited (2006 TL)
HFL issue revisited (2006 TL)
This is the trend i found with the HFL on 2006 TL
whenever you get incoming call, u will simply see "Incoming Call" on the MID even though you have Call Display.
but guess what, if are are currently in a call and someone calls you, you'll be able to see the number on MID, can anyone confirm that?

I get the CLID of the incoming call whether it's the first call or the second call. If the CLID coming in is blank or not presented for some reason, it just says "Incoming Call". It might be that who ever is calling you is masking their caller ID.
I haven't had the chance to see that yet, so I am not sure.
It might also depend on your cell phone. Some phones do not fully implement the Bluetooth specs. This is why some phones show battery and reception strength on the MID, while others do not.

I've linked 6 different phones to my HFL in my 05 TL/navi, some give call display in the dash, others don't. My current Blackberry 8700 will not. I thought it was due to software on the BB but I've just updated it (after thinking about it for 10 months) and still no caller id, but "Incomming call". What was really curious is my mom's old Blackberry 7100 would work with caller ID in the dash.
I haven't completely ruled out all of the possible settings on the phone itself but I will do so soon. This is definitely a phone issue and not HFL/Acura issue, any feedback would be appreciated, tho I'm sure I'll have to dig deeper as I find time.
i tried the listed T630i..... no CLID....K750i...... no CLID..... W800i....... no CLID..... K800i...... no CLID
right now i am using P990i.... no CLID unless during a call i get a call coming in (call waiting)

I've never had a problem with CLID displaying with the phones I've used in my car. I've had a V600 in the past and now a RAZR V3i. Before I had the HFL unit replaced when it had gone bad, it would still display the CLID.
