Hey Gang,

Of late I've added a couple new names into my HFL phonebook and came away with a few perplexing interpretations by the voice interpreter:

• When I say "Dean" for a name, the HFL comes back and says "Dean" can be mistaken for "Hell"
• When I say "Fred" for a name, the HFL comes back and says "Fred" can be mistaken for "Lynne"

Funny thing, the latest incarnation of my evolving career is engineering conversational speech bots and I honestly don't get the Dean/Hell and Fred/Lynne collisions. Color me perplexed.

 

 

I would say it is just older equipment and such...but our 2015 Terrain was taking "Missouri" as "Oregon" when trying to use voice commands for Navigation. So my guess is just bad programming.
