On the 2007/ 2008 Acura TL Navigation System:
My cell phone is not capable to do the cellular phonebook exchange, so I manually entered all the numbers I wanted into the navigation system. The problem I am having is when I have a destination dialed into the navigation system. It will not let me get back to the "Menu" screen to get into my "Address Book" to make a phone call. Now I also have "stored" phone numbers in the Handsfree system, but how do I get to the numbers I have stored in the navigation system? The only thing that comes up on the "Menu" screen when a destination is dialed in is that screen to cancel the destination. So while I'm driving, I have to cancel the destination and make a phone call, then re-enter the destination again. Is there a way around this. Any insight will be very helpful!

 

I am thinking of using my other phone in my 08 TL-S..It is a verizon LG 8100 phone....will it work in my car? I want to know before I change phones...appreciate the help and sorry to butting in...just need some info..thanks

 

To answer your question according to www.acura.com/handsfreelink the LG VX8100 is not compatible with the 2008 Acura TL Type S. It will not pair to the Handsfree Link System.

 

That stinks...I really like that phone...any phone that is similiar to the lg 8100 and will pair to the handsfree link?

 

If you look at the website I gave you, there are a lot of phones that are compatible with the Handsfree Link. LG makes a VX 8300 and VX 8350 that are both compatible with the TL.
