I am about to purchase an 05 TL. It is equipped with navigation yet at the moment, it is asking for the code which i don't have yet. My problem is, when I turn on the lights, everything illuminates (all the instrument panel buttons) except the radio, where the 6-cd changer is. Is this normal? Will it illuminate when the code is put in?

 

yes once the code is accepted it will light up

radio won't light up until the code is put in. The code should be a sticker near or around the glovebox area, make sure to look by the latch and the sides of it as acura dealers stick it there brand new.

 

also, where could i find the navi code?

 

it should be with it, its one sticker with both codes to my knowledge, the 4 digit one is for the navi and the other is for the radio.

 

Both the Navi and radio codes are on a card given to the original buyer with the owner's manuals case for the glove box. There are also stickers with the codes, which techs will stick on the glove box.

Ask for the owner's manuals (car manual, Navi manual, warranties for car and tires) packet. Also check the trunk and the spare tire compartment under the trunk floor if the codes aren't in the case in the glove box.

Finally, check Acura link to see if the previous owner or dealership registered your car and put the code info. onto the site.

 

I have the same problem with the radio not working. I found two stickers, with this info:

One has these numbers: 11102836;

The second has these: EKB22003664

Is either of these the radio code???

 

i think this the radio code, just the #'sEKB22003664 the othervis the navigation.....if these are what on your car....if not consult with your local dealer!
