Help me decide on a phone.

With timing like magin my father crushed his nokia(the free cingular one) between his leg and the seat of a go kart. He went to the store and they want 140 for a new one. He is gonna hold off until we get the car so he can get a blutooth one. I am wondering which blutooth phone is cheapest without a contract and displays signal strength, batter level, and caller ID. I hear good things about that Sony Ericson(not flip), is that what we should go with?

I have the Sony Ericsson T610. I love it and it always works great in my TL. I have T-Mobile service.

I have a Sony-Ericksson T637 and Cingular service. I got the phone as a "free" upgrade about a year ago. It works great with the Acura. The only negative is that the buttons are very tiny making it easy to misdial when using it out of the car.

I just picked up a T616 and popped my SIM card in it. I was able to find it as a refurb through a Cingular (that's my service) franchise. So far seems to link up great through the HFL. Plus lots of free software at the SE site.

I will check with cingular, but my parents will want to buy the car charger and case too, and the Auction includes it free.

RaZR V3

The Motorola RAZER V3 has worked great with my bluetooth, I guess a Cingular only thing though, Cingular service is poor in some areas
