hissing noise from the speakers ...

even when the radio/cd/dvd is off, there is some hissing noise coming from the speakers. it's not a big deal, but it's noticable. tremble adjustment doesn't help, since it's on even when the radio is off. and even if i turnd the tremble all the way down it's still there ...

does anyone know how to get rid of it ?

I am not an expert on the subject, but could it be that the polarity is wrong?

polarity of the connection to the speaker ? that shouldn't be a problem, you would have some white noise if you audio equipment is not grounded properly or if different circuits (with diff ground) are used for different pieces of equipment.

but that shouldn't be a matter, since it's not a custom setup, it's the way it came from the factory. when i turn my key in first position, i can hear it ... it sounds like there is some signal coming to the speakers, and i think it thre shouldn't be any at that point (when everything is off). it's the same sound that you can hear when you turn the volume on audio receiver up without anything on receiver input.

i'm just wondering why the speakers are on and if anyone experience that too ...

I just upgraded my system with 2 amps, 1 for aftermarket subs and another for the 4 internal 6 1/2 speakers and have the same problem. I however didn't notice this problem with the original factory setup. I think the problem is with the ground and am going to install a ground loop isolator to try to solve this problem. If anyone else has another solution, please let us know.
