No reverse lights. So I went to replace the fuse for back-up on the fuse panel, it was OK, but when I went to replace it the needles and markers around the dash lit up briefly (the numbers did not nor did the ill8uminate with the lights on or the car in drive. Checked under the hood. Nothing I could tell. Is there A Fuse that controls both of these or is it more than one? I have no reverse lights.

Also there is no trip computer or no HFL display at all. This is all black. Everything works, but nothing is illuminated?

 

on the left side of the dash, set the brigtness to max a it might have be pushed to low by accident. For the reverse lights, did you make sure you weren't in netural?

 

Checked that. I get Driver 1 detected then everything dims and nothign works. The reverse lights don't work at all.

 

I started an install for the avelectronic switcher I wanted to do the backup cam . I got the box from AVelectronics.

As stated I have lost reverse lights AND the dash lights. The needle and the blue around the dash light up but the HFL/Trip computer screen lights ONLY to say Driver 1 Detected and then goes black and the Numbers won't light. I have not tapped into anything .I simply ran a wire from the BOX to the Reverse light PLUG and put it in reverse to see if the camera would come on before I wired everything. Nothing happened. SO I took it all apart and noticed that my reverse lights and dash were out. I checked all the fuses. with a fuse tester light and they all seem OK, I replaced any fude inside and under the hood that seemingly had anything to do with the lights but still nothing?

Any clues?

CHECKED OUT WITH THE TEST LIGHT, BUT IT WAS BLOWN!!
