has anyone DIY sub wires yet?
i was htinking of running the power n ground wires etc in my 3g and was wondering if anyone has done this yet? wouldi need to drill a hole in the firewall or is there 1 already there where i can put the power wire thorugh..i have ran wires in a 2G but not to sure about the 3G. some help please!
Check out this thread This is a full system DIY. When I did mine, I just added a sub. I disconnected the stock sub and used its speaker wires. I have a kicker amp that has speaker level inputs, and I've been happy with the sound quality.
Oh and you don't have to take out the whole rear seat to get the power wire to the trunk. You need to remove the trim between the seat and the side of the car, and then fish it through near the top of the seat. In the trunk you have to remove the cover that hides the stock speakers.
^^ Like he said. I didn't bother with the add a circuit's - I just wrapped the remote wire + power wire for my hardwired Passport X-50 radar detector thru fuse No. 1 on the drivers side foot panel fuse box. guess I'm ghetto. Hope that helps.
