Which harness on factory amp comes from the head unit?

Which harness on factory amp comes from the head unit?

Guys,

There are two harness going into the factory stereo on my 04 TL. A bigger gray one and a black and white one. Which one comes in from the stereo?

Your best bet is to pop the speakers with a "D" battery. Tape a wire to the positive tip and tape a wire to the base.

I am looking over a read out from directechs.com and it does not say the harness color just the wire colors.

First color is (+) positive and second is (-) negative. If the speaker pops, that is not the harness coming from the deck.

LF = lt. green - purple
RF = blue - red
LR = brown/white - red/yellow
RR = red/blue - yellow
Center = green/white - blue/yellow
Sub = yellow/black - lt. green/red

Thanks for that.. Yes, the wires coming from the HU are on the Black and white harness.

The Gray harness contains the wires going out to the speakers.
