Hands Free: Problem linking
When I first bought my '06 TL, I set up my phone and my wifes phone. Both worked as they should...Now when I get in the car, it doesn't pickup my phone every time. I say "every time" because on a rare occasion it will work. I've put my phone in search mode and most of the time it says device not found. I've tried to put it in search and hold it in different places and it still will not recognize it. I know the phone is still listed in the car because I've used the list function and it announces both of our phones.
Now on the other hand, when my wife gets in the car, it immediately picks up her phone.
Any suggestions ?

From East Tennessee eh? I grew up in Kingsport. Where in East Tennessee are you?
About your question. I had the same problem pop up with my '08 TL-S the other day. At first, for several weeks, every time I started the car my cell connected up right away. Then, for about two days it quit connecting. After checking all settings I was stumped.
What I ended up having to do (assuming in your case that NO settings have been changed) was to power cycle the phone. As soon as the phone came back on, the car saw it again and immediately connected.
It was almost like the bluetooth radio in my cell needed to be "rebooted."
Give that a try...

Im in the Tri-Cities too !
The problem is not with the car, it's with the bluetooth operation of your phone. I had the same problem with my Verizon XV6700, and I was always having to do a soft reset for the last few months. I replaced the phone under warranty - problem solved!
I sell these cars for a living. 100% and I do mean 100% of the times that a customer has a problem like this, they have a Verizon phone. Either turning the phone off and then on again fixes it. Or alot of the times it's a PDA type phone and they need to get the newest software update on the phone. Once they go to Verizon and do that, the HFL works fine. I've never once had a problem with any other providers. It's really odd.
I am with Cingular (AT&T) and have a Blackberry 8800 and it does it from time to time. Before that I was with T-Mobile and had a Moto Razr and it did it even more often so it's certainly not just a Verizon issue. I am finding it more and more difficult to believe that so many phones can be the culprit as opposed to the one common theme for myself and others and that being the car. However, that's far less of an annoyance to me than trying to get the voice recognition to understand the difference between calling someone (by their name + home, cell, work) or something completely ridiculous like #89 or something instead of their number. That is highly annoying.
