Anybody with a 3g tl have any problems with your hands free not working mine just says booting up but never does anything else never had any issues till now.

It goes bad and drains the battery. Leave car sitting for couple days and it won't start.


Since it's VERY common, if you bought the car recently, chances are that it's disconnected already. If HFL is disconnected / goes bad, that's the message that you get.

 

I still wish they made and sold new HFL’s modules.

 

The USA Spec BT-45-HON3 module is the way to go! You get Bluetooth audio to boot so you can use your smartphone as an audio source.

You just have to know if you have navigation, an '04/5/6 or an '07/8. Think ya can handle it?
