Guys any issues with playing "Burnt" CD's??

Just wondering the dealer told me it might ruin the cd player and to only play original, that would really suck!!!

Drago: I believe that some dealers will tell you not to. I have DVD-R and it's okay. I have not tried with CDR

I10O0I1: The reason is that the reflectivity of the burnt CD and the store CD are different, other than that I'm not sure.

No issues with burnt CDs. Like all slot-loading CD drives, probably wouldn't like an oddly shaped or business card CD-R; other than that, burn away.

Not sure how long it is suppose to take to tell, but I've been playing burned CD's (except DVD-A) in my TL ever since I picked it up in September. No problems yet.

I burn a lot of compilation discs and have had no problems with them. Besides on pg 130 of the 04 owner's manual, it says the disc changer will play these disc format: CD, CD-R, DVD-A and DTS.

It won't damage the HU, i think he's saying that to clean his hands of the situation so you won't go back to him if it does for some strange reason go out. Just spend a few extra $'s on a better brand, i hear TDK is good and burn at an average speed, not too slow or fast.
