Got my sub and amp in

Went in last weekend for an install of a custom sub enclosure and amp. I finally got around to pullin the trigger on it, I waited till I couldn't take the sound of the factory sub any longer.
Overall I'm really happy with the install, I have been looking at the various options for sub enclosures and ended up choosing the Audio Integrations one. I hadn't heard of them until a installer at car toys actually recommended them to me, I had no idea they were in my area.

That being said I ordered in a Jl W3 and a Jl xd600/1, the small size of this amp is crazy so I had to take picture of it to give everyone an idea:

I randomly took pictures as they were doing the install, they didn't seem to mind me snapping a few here and there. They also built me a small amp rack to hold the amp against the back seat area, I thought it was pretty cool since all the wires are somewhat hidden under the amp.

I gotta say if anyones looking for an overall good combo that a W3 12" does a good job of filling the cab with sound.

They even made me a fuse holder platform thing instead of ziptieing the power wire to a loom

Next thing I'll end up doing will be new front speakers and amp, but that will have to wait till I get some cash flow.
Cheers!

Nice. Do you think they could have mounted the amp on top where the stock sub is? Did they remove the stock sub?

Thanks for the kudos guys, I had them remove the stock sub, I didn't want the amp mounted upside down or covered up with that upper cargo cover in case of heat. The small amp rack they made takes up about 1" of cargo area, it mainly makes it possible to mount something there instead of that thin plastic carpet piece. I think you could mount something up there I just wouldn't want it insulated with that carpeted panel.

Setup looks great.

Putting my audio integrations box in this weekend. Impressed so far.

Do you have he trunk liner? I am up in the air whether to put the box in over the mat, or to cut up the mat around the sub...

I have a trunk mat and installed my 12" sub on top of it. The amp lays on the back of the box out of sight....

What did you use for your signal input?
A line output convertor or some type of signal processor?

How do you protect it when you have stuff in your trunk rolling around?

Problem with having your amp on the box is that you basically gift wrapped your system if some chooses to steal it... Anyways your set up look good...

I'm going to notch around mine, when I had them put it in, they masked a line for me to cut to if I choose to cut it.

I 'think' they grabbed the signal before the amplifier, and fed straight into the amp, the Jl amp accepts most speaker level inputs according to the manual. I didn't see a converter on the reciept so I'm almost positive it was done that way.

They have a three stainless bar grill on backorder that bolts to the box, the hardware is under the carpet so it can be added when it's back in stock.

It's actually bolted in, you can shake the whole car with it.

I got it a little bit ago for the same price as the website has listed, smidge under 300

I was waiting and taking pictures throughout the install but it didn't look hard by any means, they showed me the 4 page instruction packet they include with it, but since I was getting the amp installed I figured I'd have them throw it in

It installs using 2 of the cargo net holes, top/front side and bottom rear - the instructions were very easy and pretty good. You need to remove a few more cargo net "buttons" or whatever they are called. One is a stud-like bolt that you slide the box onto and tighten. The next one screws down on the bottom. I think that you would break the box if you tried to crow-bar it out. I put my box in this weekend (over the liner for now to try it out). I will have pics soon as soon as I weld up an amp rack. The quality of this enclosure is very good - better then I would have built. It appears capable of handling some power - I jacked a Q most of the way up with over 1200W and the box stayed in form. I am very happy with this enclosure so far.

Here's a pic of a 10" one on some other enclosure off of their site:
