Yes there will be a "season II" being released but i dont know when that will happen. Version 2 is suppose to help with overheating as version 1 overheats per some of the reviews ive read. I got version 1 only because i found an online seller in the states that will take care of the warranty instead of having to ship it back to Korea.

I will be getting the Power Magic Pro later on as i still have to find a seller in the states. The Blackvue already does parking mode but kitted with the Power magic pro it will help with the batter drain. Reviews, links, pics and where i got it from will be up this weekend.

finally got around to installing it this weekend. Didnt exactly hardwire yet since i ran out of time. But ill show installs and reviews. I didnt take any pictures of my install since most of the pictures of the install is all the same, but i will take pictures of how it looks from the outside and how noticable it is.

Here is a really great review and breakdown of the camera. Pretty much sealed the deal after i read this.
Blackvue Review

As Far as a DIY install, i followed the V1 install
V1 hardwire

and another here regarding the Blackvue itself
Hardwire #2

one of my clips here

Now my personal review.
Video Quality 10/10
Audio Quality 5/10 The music you hear in my video is turned up to about 25
Build Quality 10/10
Form Factor 10/10

Now the only gripe i have is i wish the mic was a lot better quality. Although the video is the best witness audio would help tremendously. Also these do have heat issues, after running this i took it off the mount and it was roughly equal to holding a cup of coffee.

To those that are interested there is a going to be/or is a newer version which should have the heat issue addressed. Currently i dont have the power magic pro yet which will help with any battery drained issue and run parking mode more efficiently.

Overall im happy with my purchase and the install. I dont mind the heat issues since i got my door visors now and have the windows cracked a little.

Nice! Quick question though, since you don't have the battery magic.. does that mean you're not using parking mode or are not able to without it draining your battery? I'm trying to see if it's worth buying along with the blackvue..

That sucks about the MIC, it sounds like it is covered in a sock. I've been seriously thinking about getting something similar plus maybe an alarm upgrade. STL is getting dangerous lately.

Im thinking about getting one of these, where exactly does it mount? On the top center of the dash in plain view of everyone? I think Id rather put it up near the top where its mostly hidden by the factory windshield tint strip... I just dont like stuff being visible, plus it would run cooler if its mostly in the shade I guess...

edit: nvm Im an idiot- I went to their website and I saw pics of it mounted. Looking forward to the writeup. Has anyone considered installing front and rear ones? Rear would come in handy if youre parked nose in and someone backs into you...

glad you like it man, let me know where you got the power magic pro if you dont mind. i have been looking but nobody in the states selling them. What are your thoughts about the season ii? How does it feel while running(temperature wise)? And also how is the mic on the season ii?

You will like it. It does give you piece of mind that if something were to happen in front of the camera you will be covered.

I have been lacking with updates on videos and pics of location and what not. The links i provided give a good idea on how it installs but ill try my best to put it together for those who are installing or thinking about it.

A review after a little over a month of having it. At the end of August and first week of September i took a road trip from TN to MN which is about 20-22 hrs driving. Now I stopped in Minneapolis/St. Paul for the night going and coming back. The Blackvue as far as functionality goes, it ran superb. As far as the heat issue goes I had the ac on the whole time and video quality was normal even after being on for about 15-16 hrs straight. Now, before I left I had taken the blackvue apart and plasti-dipped the front bezel only as I didnt want to do the whole unit for fear of it holding in heat. It has held up pretty good in the TN heat. Videos are still clear and normal. Now those of you wondering what an abnormal video would looklike. An abnormal video will have a reddish tint/hue while viewing the video. Pretty easy to tell from the videos ive seen from other forums.

Anyways overall feedback: All functionalities perform as normal no issues that need any warranty repairs. No accidents or events that would need video evidence other than the idiotic drivers who dont look(some close calls).

Overall i would recommend everyone and even manufacturers to start incorporating them into vehicles. Yes they are a pretty penny depending on place of purchase but they will save your ass. There are plenty of reasons to get one.

If you guys have any questions I will try my best to help answer them for you regarding the camera.

I got the DR380 with power magic pro all hardwired into the fusebox.. parking mode is great.. recently had it serviced for something very minor but cool to see how the tech handles the car.. even on its tech test drive.

here's a great clip of a black TL-S running a SOLID red light and then getting caught by the POLICE!

BONUS: hot hot hot chic in a short skirt crossing the street (view full screen youtube to get better view!)

I bought the power magic pro on ebay from a usa seller,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BlackVue-Car...item416bf3a0dd

The mic i assume seems to be unchanged in that it still sounds kind of muffled and not as clear as i've seen other dash cams record.

The unit still does get pretty hot, but i havn't had any issues regarding overheating or functionality problems
