Lost Navigation Code

Hi, I bought this 2006 TL last year and couldn't get the radio and Navi codes from the seller. There is no manual in the car. I found the radio s/n side of the glove box but no Navi unit s/n. I called Acura customer service and they gave me the radio code but couldn't find the navi code since I don't have the navi s/n. I read some threads suggeting finding the s/n by accessing the navi unit. Is this the only option?

Thanks in advance!!

Yes, you have to take off the trunk lining surrounding the DVD unit. Then you will be able to see screws to the dvd unit which you have to remove to get to the serial #. Its the only way.

I tried to remove the carpet this evening and left it. The carpet pieces are stapled at the ends I got worried thinking I may brake something. I will try it again tomorrow.

I read this some where else also and checked the behind fuse box cover. But nothing. I see a number with barcode on side the under the hood fuse box something like SA0065110025120. But it doesn't seem like a Navi S/N

how about the glove compartment? you should be able to open it up, and it should be on the left hand side. try that.

I tried that and that's how I found the radio s/n. But no Navi info.

I have removed the carpet today and able to unscrew the Nav unit to get the S/N. I called Acura Customer relations and got my code. Thanks for all suggestions!

Glad you got the code it is a paint in nut when Acura put code on radio and Navi and that doesn't even stop theft.
