In process of replacing front/rear and sub speakers. To begin, the 06 TL does not have a RCA input in the back of the head unit correct? That is what I have gathered after going through some of the DIY's on here. I have found I need to take wires from the factory amp and run those to make my RCA connection. I cannot find a proper diagram explaining what I am looking at. Anyone know what wires exactly I need to run and where?? When trying to figure out what I was looking at I saw a pink wire and I can only find that this is the XM radio....is that correct? Will I be able to have my XM back when completed with this install, or what do I have to do to make sure that I do? Gotta have my Howard! Fa Fa Foo Hi! Thanks All in advance!
you can do it two ways.
a) buy a line out converter. this connects to the factory subwoofers + - wires. you'll then have RCA ouputs.
B) buy an amp that has the pin out for the high level output and connect it directly to the factory amp.
*disclaimer, my terminology is off.

There are Tons of ways how to get RCAs connected. From my readings its best to take the Speaker wires running into the amp before going out to the speakers to use them to connected to RCAs Something Like This:

Ive been told this is the BEST Possible way to connect RCAs to our Car.

You should not have to get behind the head unit and you will still have your XM.
Good luck!

I personally soldered RCA leads from behind the radio, ran to the back to a line driver and boosted signal back up to run into the amps.
I don't recommend taking signal AFTER the OEM amp, although it allows you not to need the line driver...the OEM amp is noisy as fk. Wasted 2 months chasing an annoying engine whine only to find out is was my oem amp causing it. I suggest bypassing it.

Thanks all. Always had head units to just plug in to, never had to create my own RCA connect. Got a neighbor of mine giving me a hand...guess I 'll have to owe him. Thanks for the input everyone
