Front speakers dont work after 15 month storage

I got my car out of storage today where it has been for the last 15 months and the front tweets and front door speakers dont work at all. Its really bugging me, I dont know what it could be. The rear speakers work fine, the center channel barely works at all but if I fade it all the way to the front it is audible. I dont know what to check but will start with the wiring at the factory amp tomorrow unless you guys can offer any better advice. Thanks.

my guess is that the connector may have loosened, or the amp got wet somehow and is shorting out now. did you have dolby on by any chance?

Dolby isnt on, I checked that, clicked it on and off. I put silica gel packets all over the interior and it was inside a building with a car cover on so moisture was mitigated as much as I could. I am going to check out the amp and go from there, are there any key places you think I should check for connection?

are you back in the states or still in germany? If in the states, take it to the dealer, if not, what you should do is check the AMP first to make sure that the amp is processing for the fronts (use a multimeter to measure voltage for the fronts)

If it comes out at a good level, its probably your speakers. My guess is that the speakers "flat-spotted" like tires do since they haven't flexed in a while and resist movement. turn up the volume like there's no tomorrow and see if that helps too...

ok I figured it out. I took the glove box and all the panels off around the amp, was wiggling the wires and they blipped on for a sec while wiggling the wires. What ended up happening was the infinity tweets I installed came un-hot glued from the tweeter grilles and the contacts were resting on metal. Wow. So I need to re-secure the tweeters but yeah it all works perfect now. Still in germany for another 13 months. Thanks guys for the help!
