Has anyone tried a basic CD/DVD lens cleaning kit whereby you put in a cleaning CD with some cleaning fluid on it? I'm getting that stupid DVD Read error and my unit was serviced at Alpine 4 years ago just before the big price increase. I'll be damned if I'm gonna spend $358 to have it serviced again. I posted this question in the DIY: How to fix Navi disk read errors thread in Problems and Fixes section a few days ago and haven't gotten a reply so I decided to post it here in the hopes that one of you will know the answer before I try it and muck it up.
