Hey all,

There are numbers of references [1], [2] showing base 2007 TL's audio system as being 225 watt system, but I cannot find anywhere what this specifically means.

In other words, is 225 calculated as:

a sum of all of the speakers output, and if so, is it a peak or RMS?

or, is this a an output of an amplifier to the speakers?

Any help on getting a bit more specific information this is highly appreciated.

I its max as watts, not rms... so its peak 225 w all combined..

 

Speakers; 8, crappy
Amplifer; 1, also crappy

 

My 2016 TLX SHAWD Advance is my 5th Acura, and I have to say the sound system has definitely taken a step backwards from the models with DVD-Audio systems. Last one prior to the 2016 was a 2012 TL SHAWD Tech and that system was far superior.
