ERROR code on head unit
So I left for college a couple months ago and left my car at my parent's house back home. My dad drove it occasionally and it was garage kept for most of the time, however the battery suddenly started dying so my dad got it replaced. Now the head unit won't play any music(says error on the screen) and it keeps asking for a code. I did buy this car used so i don't remember putting in any code. where would i be able to find this code or reset it so i can use my sound system. thanks.
Thats the antitheft code. The radio and navi (If it has Navi) should be in the black folder with the owners manual on a card about the size of a credit card. It's a 5 digit code for the radio. If the maintenance journal is with the vehicle, it should be written on the first page from when the PDI was originally done on the car. All else fails, you can get the code at any Acura dealer in the service department. If the system is locked out from the wrong code being entered, just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and reconnect and enter the correct code. Good luck to you.
