Hello All! I'm new to the forum and have been reading about the hit or miss success with burning dvd+r's. I decided to give it a try anyway since all I have is a dvd+r burner. Well... it worked! I've made 4 dvda's with multiple groups and it works perfectly in the TL.

In case you're wondering... I'm using Wavelab... and I have an NEC DVD+RW ND5100A on my laptop. I'm also using Sony dvd+r's... not sure if that makes a difference.

Anyway... I just wanted to share this with you all since some have success while others don't... so just wanted to add one more success story.

Also thanks to all for posting their how-to's on making your own DVDA's... it really helped me out a lot!

can you confirm the book type ? if you stick in the dvd-a disc you made, and get media info in any burning app...

I am guessing wavelab, set the booktype to dvd-r ...

 

I think I may have had burner issues. I was having some trouble with DVD-R and more with DVD+R with a LiteOn. No problems with -R after burning with Plextor, will have to try the +R discs again. Thanks for the updated info.

 

I just checked using nero and under dvd session it says dvd+r... and for the booktype, it says dvd-rom... so I guess that you're probably right. In any event... I'm just glad that it works
