I know the TL can play mp3 cd's, but can it play MP3 dvd's?

 

Good question. Even though mine won't play .mp3s, it would be pretty cool if yours read them on a DVD. I could put my whole music collection on just 3 DVDs.

A: Unfortunately, the '04-'06 TLs do not support MP3 CDs. Instead, there is support for another audio disk standard called DVD-Audio or DVD-A. These special disks can be purchased in stores and with the help of some software, they can also be created (with the right software and disk). Please see the questions below for further details.

With the introduction of the '07 TLs (Base and Type-S), CDs containing MP3 files are supported. DVDs containing MP3 files are not supported, but DVD-A support remains.

 

If you hook up a DVD player with Dom's unit, as many of us have, many of those will play MP3s off a DVD. Mine as a matter of fact even reads MPEGs, JPGs, you name it. Truly awesome. The newest models accept your jumpdrive too!

 

Rocyfeller, where can I buy a dom's unit that has a jump drive I really would like to add a dvd player to my 08 tl type S thanks?
