When you shift the car into reverse, does the display automatically switch the screen to the rear view camera? I have a back up camera in my car, and I can't seem to bypass this. When I reverse, I have to hit a switch for the display to go from Nav screen to backup camera.

The camera should automatically switch on when you place the car in reverse if installed correctly.

Switch the camera AV wire to the other port. The logic of the dom's unit is designed so that the camera should override all other inputs when the reverse trigger wire senses current.

The switch is so you can toggle between a video source (like dvd) and the nav screen, on demand.

Kennedy is absalutly right, the camera does override everything when put in reverse. i also have a seprate switch so i can turn it on for any reason.. then a seprate switch to turn on the DVD player...my unit was made by NAVTOOL

Nice job

Already have back-up camera set-up, but looking to add a manual switch to turn on whenever, not just when backing up...have you found you use that feature much?

Now that they are installed, how do you like those switches? Do they block the front cup-holder? I'm trying to find something a little more steath that will mount in-between the two seat warmers...if you were to do it over, would you use the same switch set-up?

Congrats on the install!

I'm curious how you ran the iPod cable. Where do you hide it when you're not using it?

as for the switches., i mean if u really wana know how close someone is to you with scaring them with ur reverse lights, they come in handy..haha.

I pod plug come right out of the boot of the cup holder so as soon as i park throw it in and close the lid. cant see switches or i pod.

as for the camara, there was nowhere on the back that i wanted to drill. and hey f they take it its useless. lol

Nice ride, thanks for the writeup...

Cool, I am definitely adding the switch...found one that is smaller, but matches really well with seat warmer swithes, going to put it right in-between those

My installer actually drilled into the area just under the license plate to install a camera, I'll have to post pics someday, it turned out pretty nice

Installed my ipod in the bottom tray w/ solid holder

Would be interested in seeing other iPod set-up
