Update About My Installer
Sorry to say this but it turns out that my trusted installer no longer works at the audio/video shop anymore and has gone elsewhere to work.
Really sucks too cause I literally went to him for everything. So sorry guys, can't do anymore referrals or give you his contact information anymore.
Looks like all of us in Virginia including me is gonna have to find another trusted installer to go to

Definitely well worth the price. Other than the DVD player, the only other thing you need is Dom's video conversion unit. After that, you're set to go and all you'll need to do is the install.
Hope that helps.

Stacking chips.
The whole double pocket and shifter housing come out as one piece. I would not use the lower compartment because of the 12volt outlet if that is what you were asking. Btw, there was no modification needed to mount the player actually. I still have the original pocket from the top undamaged so if I wreck the car or sell it I can de-mod it. But once you unscrew the top pocket, you just put the dvd player at the bottom, pressure mount it, then take a strip of carbon give it backing but leave a little lip, hot glue or screws and your done.

DOMS Conversion Kit

The only things you'll need are:
1) Dom's video conversion kit.
2) A unit that will give you sound for the DVD player. I used the Aux In input on my USA Spec adapter but if you want to go an easier route, they have FM transmitters available. I didn't want to go this route though because I can't stand FM transmitters. Sound and quality wise, they are my struggling IMHO.
3) Myron & Davis AD212 DVD player. I purchased this for $140 shipped from www.audiodiscounters.com. It's listed for a lot more on their website than what they're willing to sell for so I actually called in and bargained
4) Switch to switch back from the Nav screen to DVD. I just bought a rocker switch from Radio Shack for $2.99.
5) Installation/labor cost. Make sure you find a right installer. I've heard of horror stories and people who have had to do their installations all over again because their installer didn't do it right the first time. Make sure you find someone you can trust and someone who you know can do it RIGHT
Hope that helps.

I am one of the very few that have a DVD player in the upper center console and the console door CLOSES. It sounds impossible to get a 3/4th DIN player in there like this, but it can be done. Took a lot of planning, patience and effort but when you look at my car when it's parked, it looks like a plain non-modded OEM TL. Very trick. Did it all myself.
