Dumb Fuel Question

I am in the market to buy the 06 TL or a Nissan Murano and I didn't see it on the car but I was hoping it would have it. Does the TL monitor the fuel so it will tell you your approx miles to go on the tank or does it just have a standard guage and that is it.

Other then that I think the car is pretty perfect so far.

The TL does monitor fuel level. "Miles to empty" is calculated and displayed in the "trip computer" function of the MID display in the lower-right instrument panel of the TL.

Thanks for the quick post. I drove one the other day and didn't even see it. I also didn't see it in the brochure either and started to wonder. Thanks again.

To see "miles to empty" on the dispaly you wil have to push two buttons every time you start the car.

Bear in mind that it is, of course, an estimate. If you go to the front 3G TL page and click on the 3G TL Garage, you can find some explanations in there about it; long story short, it can only estimate based on your recent fuel economy, so the reading may be lower or higher than it should be if your circumstances change (e.g., you're barrelling along at 75 mph but the traffic grinds to a halt due to a big wreck—the reading will eventually drop). It also estimates conservatively, as explained in the Garage; when it says 0 miles, you still have fuel left.

To get to the "Miles to Empty" display, use the arrow keys underneath the MID (on the right side of the instrument pod) until you see "Trip Computer" appear, then press the select/reset key (above the arrow keys) twice.
