Drop-In Stock Amp Replacement question

Drop-In Stock Amp Replacement question
Hi there.
Thanks for reading my thread =).
I've seen so many threads and replies about drop-in stock subwoofer for replacement, but I haven't seen a drop-in stock amp.
I know that it is a 5.1 channel amp, but someone from this forum said that
normal 5.1 car amp would not support all the inputs from the TL stock HU like DVD-Audio. But he suggested to buy a 7 channel amp like Phoenix Gold 900.7Ti because it would definitely work.
This is my question. I want an amp that can work with the stock speaker system in harmony with more power like 2x(as I know, the speakers are capable of handling upto 40 rms with no problem). I do not want to work on the wiring and etc. I just want to replace the amp with more power and replace the subwoofer with JL W1v2 or Kicker's and maybe seal the rear deck.
Is there any suggestion for the best amp which could support all the features of ELS system with more and clear power?
Thank you

You still will need to do some wiring. The stock amp does not have normal RCAs as a regular aftermarket amp. The stock amp is located on the passenger side footwell, right side. Pull back the plastic cover. It's about the size of a book with 2 plugs (one input, one output) at the bottom. An aftermarket amp will not fit there and will not have sockets like the stock amp. There are some pics of the amp in the audio FAQ.

the amp in the car is actually very loud!
the problem with the car is the radio
i replaced my headunit and the system sounds 100X better now with a new HU.
i kept the bose amp and it actually runs much louder then before (the low level outputs on my pioneer are much louder.
so change your radio not your amp. the amp is very good in the tls from what i found out.
if you get a new amp and keep the stock radio you'll be sorely disappointed at the quality of the sound from the new amp.

If he wants to remain stock-ish I doubt replacing the radio is an option... RF 3sixty.2 right under the front passenger seat (so tight) and hide amp/s in spare tire well for max stock appearance.
But stock amp is tiny.. guestimating 2.5" x 7" and 1.5" deep

Actually the Radio is very good with the proper signal processor such as the RF 3sixty or Zapco. I beleive somebody on Team Zapco runs a TL with a stock HU and has won many awards. I have listened to such a car and the imaging, timbre, stage were very good. But this was a comp car with many $$$s invested in it get sound the way it does.
