Will do. My installer (Abt Electronics) is very busy. They're the West Coast Customs of stereo installs in Illinois. Every time I walk in there, someone is pouring thousands into their car or truck. Last week, I saw a Ford F350 pick up, a Bluebird bus converted to a motorhome, a 45 foot cigarette boat and a gutted Acura NSX. NSX was getting a Dynamat install before the new speakers and head unit were added.

My appointment in on February 6th, so I have to wait till then!

Two questions on XitWound's installation

XitWound,

Where did your installer run the cable for the D&P display? Was it tucked under the aluminum trim or was a hole drilled into the dash and the wire fed through? Also, was the display attached to the dash with adhesive or with screws? I just acquired the X3, cable, and am in process to purchase the D&P and want to make sure I've got all the details sorted out.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. If the answer is already posted in this thread, please have mercy on me sir! (I swear I checked!)

Xit,

What is displayed on your NAV screen? I see you have temps and "call XM" displayed. I have not seen this screen layout before, and I have on 05 TL 6MT. I have also been in an 06 TL AT. Just wondering,,,

Thanks,

Mark

Moat and Nikonikousa....

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I've been out of the country for the last couple of weeks, with spotty internet access. The installer drilled a hole in the dash..it's pretty small...but definately gives it a tighter fit. The mounting is screwed into the side of the dash...the installer made a small custom bracket to mount the display unit. I'll try and get some pictures up in a couple of days...as long as I can get some sleep...jet lag sucks.

The "call XM" has been displayed on my unit since I dropped my XM coverage. Just didn't feel likerenewing it...especially now that I can access every song on my iPod easily
