Does anyone have a DIY for installing a sub/amp?

Do we? I really wanted to install my stuff tonight, just got it and I'm all excited. I got a 12" 800watt Xplod sub (already in a box) and a 1200/2 watt sony amp. Both brand new for $100. What do I need to install these into a 3rd Gen TL? And lastly, do we have a DIY?

Thanks guys,
Type-D.

Man I would love to see a diy on this too. Kinda late but you need to connect a loc from the stock sub speaker wires. This will give you your rca connections. Then you need to run a power wire from the battery to the trunk, find a common ground in the trunk for the amp. And lastly you need to find a switched power source for the amp turn on. Sorry I don't have a diy.

Hmmm, good point...my bad.

I used this one: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...hlight=install

It has some extra stuff that you aren't going to install but it gives you the basics. The only thing different is you will hook up a LOC (line output converter) to the stock sub wires and run RCA's from the LOC to the amp.

Hope this helps

Thanks tragichero. I am getting ready to add a sub and have been reviewing the info available on here. That does help alot. I do have a question though. For the loc I run it off the stock sub wires in the trunk right. I've already got the trunk pulled apart and the sub is easily accessible and this would make running most of the wires a lot easier.
