I just bought a 08 TL-Type S and I'm setting up the phone bluetooth features. I have paired the phone and downloaded the phone book. Also, my XM appears to be working. I have attempted to access AcuraLink and got a message that I can't linkup. Again I have a iPhone 3GS with AT&T service. I called Acura and the Rep said I needed a data package (modem ability) with my iPhone. I called AT&T and Rep said they don't have modem (tethering?) ability for my phone. I have reviewed your forum for input with no luck. Can someone provide me with Info or link to answer.

from what i heard you just need a data package so the phone can send and download data. You should def have that as its pretty much mandatory with all iphones.
As for tethering, the 3.0 OS has tethering I believe now and since you have the 3gs you should automatically. But its seems very odd that Acuralink would use tethering and not just bluetooth>3g wireless.

edit: after looking through AZ it seems iphone does not support AcuraLink and bluetooth audio.

Acuralink is not working with the 3gs yet it's still in testing phases. i contacted acura to see if it was but they tell me it passed it first or second phase of testing, can't remember which one. Hopefully by mid year it will be working though.
