2014-2015 was the last update for the 04-06 Orange discs

 

Just got my update version for 2016 today. I think its worth it. My 07 TL still has the 07 navigation version. My wifes 09 MDX has the 2012 navigation version and I can just move that one to my 07 TL and put the new 2016 in the 09 MDX. Luckily for me, the versions are compatible with both my Acuras.

There was a software update in '09 for the Orange Navi DVD which made the Navi run smoother and complete searches faster. I assume there was an update on the White Navi DVD for the '07-'08 TL Navis.
A lot of POI have changed, too, as have area codes for POI phone numbers in certain metro areas (like SoCal).

 

damn if only the 2014 orange disc was $50 off

 

I assume they don't build many new roads in your area? Around my city, updating was a huge benefit. I got tired of driving out in space half of the time

 

Buy it while you can. The updates have been discontinued for us. I bought the 2014 disc since I knew I won't be able to update again.

I'm going to start looking to see what it would take to run a white disc in my car. If it's just the DVD drive replacement, it'd be worth it for me. I don't plan on selling my DD any time soon.

Unless your disk is more than a few years old, this new disk is only worth it if they upgraded the routing algorithms along with the POI's. Unlikely!
