I did a search and looked in the 3G Garage I section - forgive me if I missed some threads.

04 Navi - my disc/tape button does nothing. Neither does load or eject.

Am I hosed or is there something that I can do?

Car is CPO and under warranty still. Any chance that the radio is part of the drivetrain?

I appreciate any help.

 

My 04 non-navi just started the same bad behavior. I've had it since new, never had a problem. It's got almost 117K on it so no warranty for me. Does your mode button get you to the CD/DVD-A? mine doesn't.

 

Mine does not do anything. I cannot switch to the disc/tape nor can I insert a disc.

Every once in a while, it will grind like it is doing something with a disc - mostly when I turn it on.

 

Hold down the eject button for a few seconds and all the cd's should eject, this usually fixes the problem as the cd mechanism gets a chance to cycle through all the filled trays and move around freeing any stuck parts... HOWEVER sometimes this can kill your cd changer as well! It killed my MDX's cd changer when it was grinding, however kept my TL radio working for quite a while after the 1 occurrence.

 

Yeah, tried that...didn't do anything as the control will not switch to CD/DVDA
