Question Dice Ipod Install

I searched the forums and could not find a clear answer on the XM unplug to get the text display. So here is my question, where do I keep it unpluged? Back of the deck or the trunk? When I have the Dice unit plugged into the deck and the Y adapter left empty, I can not access the Ipod by hitting the XM switch. I can only access it from the CD-C function. So what am I doing wrong?

I do have the dip switches in the down postion (which is the on postion) when I have the Y adapter plug left empty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unplug the XM in the trunk
If the DICE is showing up as CD-C, then your jumpers are set to that. Make sure you set them to the TEXT mode.. I dont remember which way that is, but that is defiantly a jumper problem

PS. If you have a 2007-2008, you'll lose AcuraLink and all HFL functionality of your navi screen when you unplug the XM Box.

Its on the right side, inbetween the rear quarterpanel and the trunk lining. Just pull the lining back, and you'll see it mounted to a vertical support. 3 bolts

I had mine installed as well, but can only use the CDC button and no steering wheel control. Eventhough I'm a non-nav, is that right?

I did this install last weekend.
I did not use the Y adapter, so I just unplugged the xm plug and plugged the dice module in there. I put the box under the air ducts near the front of the center console, in font of the shifter and just behind the two cubbies under the navi. I just had to move a couple wires and it slid right in there. A little double sided tape and it is secured to the bottom of the ducts.

No pics
