Dell Inspiron Laptops Capable of Burning DVD-A discs?

I think the answer is no, but I'll ask anyway:

Are the DVD burners that come with the Dell Inspiron Laptops (I have an E1705) able to burn DVD-A discs that work properly in the 3G TL?

I think the answer is no because there is no specific mention of being able to burn DVD-R, which is what is required. I think it can only do +R if I'm not mistakened...

Yes it absolutely will. I've used my dell to burn several dvd-a's that I've ripped from Live Concert DVD's. I used Sony DVD+R's and they work great.

BTW.. the - in DVD-A is just a hyphen, nothing to do with +/- DVD's

If your're just copying ISO (2 Channel), try DeepBurner Free. If you're doing multi-channel you're gonna need Solo located here.

Nero 7 cannot natively burn DVD-A either (nor can Roxio, to my knowledge). However, if you create an ISO first using Adobeman's scripts or gui, either can burn that to DVD. Alternatively, you can use Cirlinca DVD Audio Solo to do everything.

How do you know what files to download to put on the DVD-A to work with SOLO?

I am pretty sure you need to use WAV when using solo. Just put the disc in the drive and it will create them when you click on the songs you want to put on your DVD-A
