Daylight Saving Time wrong -- how do I fix?

My 2006 TL with Navigation incorrectly reset the time zone from PDT to PST yesterday. I looked at the manual to see how to fix this: it says only that the clock is "set automatically" on systems with Navigation. Does anyone know of anyway to override the clock settings on units with Navigation? Thanks.

There is a setting in the nav menu that you can fix it. (sorry I dont remember where it is) Go through the options and you'll come across it.

Is the '06 still DVD based? If so, a new DVD will correct that automatically. I had the '09 disc and had problems with DST, with the '14 disc no issues.

Are you saying that a new, updated DVD will automatically correct when the DST changes occur? I disabled the automatic DST setting on my car when the decision to change the dates was made. Since then I've been manually adjusting the clock. However, I did purchase the latest, and last, DVD update a few months ago so maybe I can re-enable the setting?

Yes the new update has the correct dates for DST and will automatically update the time. So you can re enable the setting.

Bumping this thread.

For my '07 TL Type S, the Owner's Manual volume about the Navi system says that an updated DVD will *not* fix the DST to change on the correct dates, but rather that the date is in the system software -- & can't be changed.

Any real experience from anyone?

When I loaded an orange Navi disc in 2009 to update the 2005 TL Navi, it downloaded software from the disc to correct the DST issue.
I can't imagine it being different for the '07-'08 white Navi discs.

The idea that I have to pay to update this is ridiculous. It should be a free fix at the dealer.

Why should a software update be free? Do you work for free?

You have a right to your opinion, of course. But the two have nothing to do w/ one another.

Still, you do have a point. If Acura charged some small fee to have a dealer update the software, there would be no reason to object. Paying for the dealer's service dep't. to take the time to do something to the car makes perfect sense.

Really, the point I should have made is that the nav data update has nothing to do w/ when Daylight Savings Time starts & ends. There is no reason one should need to buy the expensive nav data update dvd in order to get the software fix.
