Custom stereo install... beginning with the jbl Ms-8

Whats up guys im starting my install and am going to add the jbl ms-8 to my system first that way while im installing everything else i dont have to worry about loosing my speakers. basically im wondering if anyone has any experience getting to the factory amp because the jbl allows for speaker level input much like the 3sixty then it does an amped output at 30w much like the factory amp so itll match the level while offering a high end dsp effect then whenever i start getting stuff built ill just have to run preamp cabling from there and it will still work perfectly even if i just do sections at a time. plus it offers a rather helpful fact of 30w rms will power most 3.5 that i would use to replace stock center so no need for an extra amp to power it any ideas would be appreciated.

No sure what you are asking, but the factory amp is in the passenger kick panel. You can use the pre-amp signal into the MS8.

Are you asking if you can install the MS8 now, and keep the other stock stuff (except for the center) until you replace it later?

no basically what you answered if i could get rid of the factory amp for the ms-8 since it does amped output that equals the factory system. and im not sure what you mean by except center the ms-8 does 8 inputs for up to full logic 7 so it accepts center feed and will send it to the proper channel thats one of the reasons i like it. the logic 7 and automatic sound staging is why im looking into getting it over the 3sixty.2

Bearcat,

There is a thread in the 4G about this. The OP said that he used only the front and sub signals because the ESL and HFL causing feedback. I was asking him why he didn't use all 5.1 channels too.

He said the MS-8 does a superb job of emulating the surround sound.

stylz were you able to keep bluetooth fuctionaliy or did you have to install another speaker like in the link stew commented about.
Gary- are you meaning the line level before or after the stock amp and the sub before or after. also what would you suggest for keeping the bluetooth becasue the speaker signal for that comes through the center. plus you loose dvd audio

I have the center speaker connected to a relay with a switch. So whenever a want to use navi, blue tooth, or voice commands I just flip to switch and it isolates to center speaker. When I'm not using the center speaker for those function I have the switch off.
