Question Color In The Navi?!?!

Hey there, i was wondering what the color option in the navi does? Ive looked for a change when i changed it to amber or red, but nothing happens. I saw someones XM Audio Screen w/ a Red background, but mine is ALWAYS blue no matter what I do. It might be a bug w/ my sofware version? Ive tried looking at all the menus w/ the diffrent color and nothing happens! Anybody got any ideas?

if you have display set to auto... and you turn your lights on and it doesn't go to night mode... that can be cuz you might have your meters lights (or whatever you call them, speedometer or gauge lights) set to MAX... if you got them set to MAX, you will not have night mode... it happened to me few times.

I haven't seen any effect from the "Color" selection either. If someone figures it out, please post!

it's actually the color of the boxes when you enter someone's name and address. it's not necessarily the background color you are changing. go add someone's address and see that the textboxes are in different color. well at least that's what the manual says i've changed mine to red but haven't added anyone since, so i can't confirm this yet

You know, I was puzzled by that for the longest time. I would change the color setting, but it appears nothing happens.

Then I figured it out one day.

From the normal viewing angle, you can't quite tell the color difference. Try getting your eye level below the navi screen, you'll see the true color on the button.

From the normal sitting position where the eyes are much higher than the screen, the color appears like a dark/black color, no matter what color you set it to.

I know that one, but is it related to any color issue? or you're talking abou that speical setting of Navi? http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showt...t=73974&page=5

Anyway, the background color setup was really the bad idea, which almost drove me nuts in the beginning until I figure out it's not the whole background, but the partial section's.
