Bluetooth HFL, Nokia 3650, and the MID

Has anyone been successful at getting data to appear on the MID?

Has anyone been successful at getting data to appear on the MID with the Nokia 3650? If so, what was the trick?

What data?

So far the BT and MID of 04TL only can display Signal strength, Power level, phone # of caller ID or phone # you're going to dial out. (if I miss, please update.)

Nothing else.

Everything works perfect. Voice recognition for dialing numbers works great as well. Had verizon which I loved, and traded for cingular. Left my wifes phone with Verizon so I'm covered and can call from the car.

FYI, can use the voice reg for nav while using the handsfree from the phone.

I don't think the 3650 is capable of sending this info. Mine doesn't do it either. Probably a first generation thing. The 3650 has been out for awhile, and at that time, the TL did not exist. Nokia probably didn't think the cost of adding that capability was justified.

The only thing I get on the MID with my Nokia 3650 is the phone number when someone calls. Battery and signal strength are not shown.

Maybe a software update on the Nokia could solve this problem.

If you really want a 3650, you might want to check out the 3620. I beleive AT&T carries it. It is just like the 3650 except it has a traditional key pad. The software may have been updated and this feature may work.

There is no trick. This is how Nokia wanted have their bluetooth setup. You cannot enable anything to make the other things appear on the MID.

This is the exact question asked for the 4th time in 4 separate threads so I decided to answer with the exact reply :lol2:

Question #1 Question #2 Question #3

Odd how they all same the same thing.

That's the data. Have you gotten the Signal strength and Power level to appear?

Not yet but I have plenty of friends that do that can test for me. :ar15: So, it does not matter whether or not I own a TL but the technical fact that Nokia will not allow the information to be transmitted via bluetooth from the phone.
