Check Out This Backup Camera!!

Day/Light Wide Angle Car Rear View Backup Camera

http://cgi.ebay.com/aP131-Day-Light-...#ht_3463wt_939

I have this camera on my car and I LOVE it. Looks great and the picture is crystal clear. Martin (Acura Navi Installer) recommended this one. It's silver, compared to the black oem and other cameras. At $29.99 with FREE SHIPPING you can't go wrong.

Would it be possible for you to post some pics of what the camera resolution is inside, and what it looks like outside?

Tthis is the one i installed,
http://cgi.ebay.com/BOYO-Truck-RV-SU...8#ht_500wt_956
since i have an acura chrome metal frame in the back. you have to really look to notice that i have a cam attach. Also buy buying one of this kind of camera is good to head to pepboys and buy license plate screw lock $3. those are license plate screw but with a lock head and a key to unlock them. someone will be having a hard time removing each screw without the key.

this was not the price i bought it for, i paid $60 in ebay auction has a winning bidder.

No interface needed. I have a 08 TL with Navi (conversion) so it hooked up simple. Well, Martin did it so it was simple for him. Lol

I'm looking to install a back up camera along with an iphone adaptor on my 06 TL. But I'm not too good when it comes to installing these things. I'm on long island. Can you tell me how much you paid for the camera/installation? And even where martin is located? Cause i see you're in NY too. Thanks I really appreciate the help

What do you consider a "good" image? Let me ask you this have you ever seen any other backup cameras besides this one you installed? The reason I ask is because I have installed backup cameras in previous cars and the MAIN difference between them is the camera sensor. There are CMOS sensors and CCD sensors. The cameras with CMOS are usually very cheap $10-40 and have problems with artafacts/ terrible low light quality and flickering image during movement, you really get what you pay for. CCD sensors are far superior and much more difficult to manufacture so they usually cost around 100-200 dollars. Now I just did a bit more research because this was over a year ago. It seems the CMOS sensors in general have improved and even some of the high end backup cameras are using CMOS, but I really cant see these improved sensors being used in a 29.99 camera shipping from China. Just my . I would love to find a quality 29.99 backup camera!

Ok thanks I appreciate it. Quick question.. Does the camera screen automatically come on when in reverse? Or is there a switch that you flip to enable the camera?

I can definitely vouch for this camera myself. I use it everyday and I could not be happier with the image projected on my navi screen from this camera. Buy it, and you will be a believer too.

Pic quality is usually good with most of these cams. I've yet to see a shitty one. Be careful of chrome peeling and rust with these metallic one, I speak from experience. That's what happened to my last BOYO one ... similar style and look. Liscence plate screw on type. I then changed it out to a wing mount type under the trunk groove that was painted black and I have no issues.

For all of you guys who are asking HOW to do this. You need to provide more info. What year is your car and do you have navi. If you have navi, this install comes to around 250+ depending what camera you get.. So for all of you who thinks this may be a cheap mod it really isnt.. DOGH..

06 w/ nav. is anything else needed to install besides the camera to get it funtioning (i am talking about the camera in this post)? If not, where is the $250 install cost coming from?

Well the camera is the variable that makes the price vary.. Cameras can go anywhere from 50+ for a decent camera.
To get a camera working in your car you will need to purchase a video converter that will access your Navi screen. The most popular video converter is the Doms Navtogo. Google it. It costs 200.00. It also allows you to connect another video input besides the reverse camera. So, you can watch movies on your navi screen. The converter is setup up so once you go in reverse your backup camera will automatically show on your navi screen.. Search the forums for this. You will find vast info on it.. including how to install it..

What's the hot new back up camera to use now. I remember wendy's was a popular one, but when I searched ebay for it nothing came up.
