iSim 73 Harness in a 2008 Type-S

Hi all,

Just purchased an ISim73 on amazon. I was reading through some of the threads for installs, and it talks about the PGHHD2 harness. My isim shipped with an PGHHD1. Will this work or am I needing to pick up the HD2?

Thanks in advance

Need the HD2. It is for cars w/ xm nav traffic. Even if it is not active, it is all about where you have to connect the harness.

I just received my hd2 harness and went to start my install! When I took my trunk apart and got to the xm module, it turns out my car had a 14-pin connector which fits the pgh-hd1 .....?

I plug it all in using the pgh-hd1 because there was no way the hd2 was going to fit. I can get my car to display the ipod and display all the text. I am able to navigate through all my playlists and songs, BUT I GET NO SOUND

HELP!

This is for a 2008 Type-S (Canadian model - not sure if that matters with XM traffic. Possibly because I don't seem to have the 20-pin connector on my XM module)

Yes, I am able to select ipod under xm, and it charges my ipod. If i try and navigate through my ipod it says "accessory connected".

The car can control the ipod and change songs and playlists, i just get no sound

Any update on this? I'm trying to figure out which one I need as well up here in Canada. We don't have the traffic feature so wouldn't we not need the hd2 harness? Maybe the one op bought was a lemon?

i tried trouble shooting with isimple. they said they didnt know enough about the canadian tl's and that I was out of luck. Tried the hd2 harness in the back, and the hd11 harness behind the radio. No offer of refund or suggestions.
