I've owned my car for 3 years, 8 months, this Friday. From day 1, I've never been able to import my phonebook!

Earlier today I was calculating my gas mileage at the gas station via the calculator under "INFO" on the navigation screen as I regularly do. Usually, the "Cellular Phonebook" option is blacked out under the "INFO" options. However, the "Cellular Phonebook" option was actually available this time!

So, I selected that option, and I selected "Import Phonebook". Lo and behold, it started importing my contacts! I'm ecstatic and in shock at the same time.

After a couple of minutes, the car finishes importing my phonebook.

But, guess what? The navigation screen informs me that it has imported 308 contacts, but it's run out of space and not all of my information has been imported.

My question to everyone is: "How much memory do our cars have to store this information?"

TIA.

I think I might have more, since the car stopped downloading at 308?

I just imported a phonebook last night. I could have sworn it said 1000 contacts if you have the navigation system.

From what I can tell the cell phonebook isn't very useful as the Handsfree Link seems unable to talk to it. It can only import the contacts one at a time with you naming them? I'm not really sure though as I've had the car for a total of 1 day now, sorry.

What do you mean? I pressed a button, and the car proceeded to import my phonebook. I didn't name anything.

I think Legault means when you try dialing using voice commands like when you hit the dial button on the wheel and say "Call Mom" or something but i find that very frustrating to use since it sometimes picks up a random number like #09182312 instead of my girlfriend's name..

i dont know how many numbers you can import though..only have 08 at the moment lol

I see now. Yeah, that's annoying when the person you want to call isn't the person that the HFL brings up.
