Considering the TL does not support MP3 in any way, I am going with the Audio CD

you are correct. but now that i know this, i can just keep reusing the cd over and over. i have an ipod but it doesn't sound as good as it did when i had the stock audio setup. now i can really tell how crappy the tape adapter is. so until i get a similar setup like peterubers i'll be reusing cd-rw discs

How about regular audio in DVD-Audio format... 99 songs x 6 Disc ... enough to last for a month

That's pretty cool. All home stereos and cars play CD-R (Audio CD), but its amazing that the TL plays CD-RW which can only be played on computers and some home DVD players.
