CD Player - Will Not Remember Last Track Playing

Any way for the cd player to remember what track you left off after restarting the car? I believe this used to work, and this is definitely in the owners manual as the default method it should be using.

It's very annoying when running errands to keep having to listen to the first track of the current cd being played, makes it impossible to listen to the entire cd. I have to note which track I'm on before turning off the car so I can manually skip back to the next track each time. Help!

Thanks in advance,

K

Mine always remembers this (even if it's been over a week since I last used the CD player, as is the case right now). Did you perchance use the other remote to unlock the doors? The radio settings are tied to the remote, assuming you've set up the remote to control the seats/mirrors/radio etc., and if you used the other one perhaps it might change the CD setting as well.

Still a problem - Thanks for the replies though!

I bought my TL about 4 months ago, it's a late '06 model purchased originally in Dec. 06. It's definitely not a problem with using different key/remote - my spare is locked away and I'm the only driver.

This feature USED to work, right after I bought the car. I've googled the heck out of this and cannot find any mention of a way to possibly toggle this on/off. I figured I'd post here before bringing it to the dealer to pay what I'm sure will be a huge amount of cash to have this replaced. I wonder if it's still under warranty, hmmm...

Any other help will be much appreciated!

Thanks again,

Ken
