Can I add Nav to an '06 without it?
Hi there.
New guy here.
Just bought an 06 without nav. Can i purchase one from a wreckers and drop it in?
There's also a few listed on eBay. Is this a difficult thing to do? Is it just plug and play or do I have to add other things as well?
Thanks!

I know in the garage there is a thread about how to do it, not sure if it is easy can't help you there but I will try to help you find the thread and you can try to decide if it will be easy enough for you. It is possible though at least

There is a link from bzyrice diy. It looks pretty detailed, there was also more if you went to the garage and under the sub-paragraph i there is about 6 threads on this

from what i gathered it will cost you about 2k to do. theres a guy martin on ebay he sells everything you would need i believe he also does installs if your in the NY,NJ,CT .
i really want the navi too just cant justify spending that much money on it , if you do get it go with the 07-08 screen it is much nicer .

Welcome to acurazine! regarding your question, it is easy to find the parts, at least most of them. The only complicated thing is to find the harness. As far as I know, Martin is the only person who makes it so if you want to do it you need to get in contact with him. I am selling my navigation, in case you are interested or just so you know what to buy

Three Wheelin'
You can, but its not worth it. If you really want in dash nav consider a car PC, or a double din head unit. Both will be cheaper and easier to accomplish.

^true. I thought about getting a double din head unit before but I went with the oem navi in the end. To me the oem has no comparison whatsoever. just my humble opinion
