Call button on Navi
Call button on Navi
I tried searching, but couldnt find what I was looking for.
on my 07 TL Type S, i have my Razr paired with HFL, and it works fine, but when I use the navi to find a business or anything, the "Call" button is greyed out like my phone is not connected.
Is this a setting Im missing? Can someone point me in the right direction. Ive had the car for a few months, and I thought it worked at one time...but not now.
Thanks

Is the phone number for the business listed next to the grayed out button? If it is not, then it is possibly because the phone number is not listed for that business.
Also, the HFL is more compatible with some bluetooth phones than others. For instance, not all phones display the battery and reception indicators in the MID display. Check out http://www.handsfreelink.com to check your phone's compatibility.

This happens on stuff with phone numbers, even like the "Road side assistance" call button is greyed out.
Im pretty sure I have seen it active before. The phone is a Razr, which seems to be a good one for the HFL
Any other ideas?

UPDATE:
I got into the Diagnostic screen of the Navi (Map+Menu+Cancel). After doing some "System Checks", I saw that there is a graphic representation of all the systems linked together.
One branch is the "XM" computer, and branched off of that there is a "HFL". Both are red (disconnected) because the XM is disconnected
It turns out, that when I disconnected my XM to plug in my DICE for the iPod, it kills all HFL functions within the Navi. (Including the import phonebook, and AcuraLink stuff).

I have DICE on XM and HFL works fine. However I did notice the same even before I had Dice installed and the reason I found out was with Blackberry was if you enable the bluetooth on the phone after the Navigation is activated the navi call button will be greyed out. It almost looked like the for Navi to enable those button it needs to have a proper bluetooth connection available and made with the paired phone that it checks in the boot up process. May be its just Blackberry or could be just me
