What parts of the trunk would I want to Dynamat in order to minamize rattles. Also I was wondering what guage wire you guys think I should use. I am running a 700w rms alpine amp and then another 300w rms alpine amp. I am using a distibution block. I was thinking of running a 4 gauge wire from the battery to the distribution block then running another 4 gauge wire to the mono block amp and finaly an 8 gauge wire to the 4 channel amp from the distribution block. Would this work?
since u are going trough all that trouble running the wire for a little extra cost i would run at least 2 gauge or even bigger....the purpose, well u never know when u r going to find urself wanting to upgrade to bigger amps
another reason is less resistance so a little more juice. As far as dynamat i would recommend both front doors, rear deck, trunk lid and most of the trunk inside. The better u isolate it from rattles the more sound u get from ur subwoofers otherwise is just going to be bunch of noises canceling the sound from ur subwoofers.....and u dont have to use dynamat there is cheaper versions that do the same job no noticable difference. Do it the right way from the beginning or u will be going back and fixing everything and that much more costly and time consuming
best of luck

Thanks a bunch I will be sure to do all that. Also should I cut into the wiring harness before the stock amp or after the stock amp? I heard about the guys trying to run 3sixty's in there cars and they had to cut into the wires afrter the stock amp. I think this was because the stock headunit doesn't supply enough power. Not sure though.
Always.... AFTER the Stock AMPLIFIER...
try the stuff from Elemental Designs.... http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/index.php?cPath=24

RAAMmat is the best performance/dollar mat i've used. I've used b-quiet, Dynamat, spray foam, etc. and raammat performs just as good (if not better) but for a lower price.

I have over 100 ft^2 in my integra and my 1200 watt subs are no louder than stock on the outside when the windows are up. I love that stuff.

the stuff is all the same. i used edead from elemental designs and covered the rear deck, trunk lid, under the rear seats and all 4 doors. it comes in 3 thicknesses i believe: 45 mils, 60 and 120. i used the 60. dont forget u can stack it too.
the TL is very well isolated as is, but i did see an improvement as far as reducing road noise. almost all of the tire noise i hear now comes from the firewall and fr wheel wells, which are very tough get to.
the sound from the (all stock) speakers has changed. it tightened up the bass a lot which lets you hear the midrange now. most of the bass "boom" comes from resonating panels in the door and rear deck. yes this adds some loudness, but it just ends up hurting the sound overall. so if u like boomy bass, dont dynamat.
as far as eliminating rattles, not sure that this is the correct route. find out whats rattling (with a sound test cd) and fix those problem spots. its usually plastics rubbing together and asphalt-based sound deadening materials wont really fix that....maybe....depends
oh and another thing. it makes your system sound quieter from the outside (with windows up of course). so for all you gas station bangers you might not want to do this.
