Bluetooth V710 Question
Bluetooth V710 Question
I have the motorola V710, and for the most part it works fine, however I have a few issues, and I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems and fixed them, sorry if this is a repost of past questions, but I haven't seen any mention of them.
1. When someone calls my phone, and I answer using the HFL, I say hello and I can hear them, but I don't think that they can hear me for like 5 or 10 seconds. So i keep having to say hello, until they hear me. I don't know what the deal is with that, it seems like there is a delay between when I answer the phone with HFL and between when the microphone starts transmitting me saying hello or something.
2. This problem seemed random but it might have something to do with the radio/cd player being on or off. When I use the v710 handset rather than the HFL to make a call sometimes it will just stay on the handset, and sometimes it will randomly transfer to the car speakers. Does having the radio on or off determine this?

My wife has the V710 and uses it in the Acura. Don't know if she is experiencing this problem. I never have used the phone in the Acura, but I have experienced the same delay in my cell phone at times with no HFL. Could be in the cell system.
Also, Motorola came out with a firmware update in February. I think the original version was 8700_01.30.8F. The new version is 8700_01.40.0r and can be installed at the Verizon store. This new firmware allows the phone to display the signal strength and battery level on the car screen. Don't know if it might fix your problem.
